About Me
Home - North Yorkshire, England
Born - 1979
Education - BA (hons) Graphic Design, University of Derby
Talking about yourself is always difficult; I have always been interested in anything creative, painting, music, the written and spoken word but most of all, photography. My graphics background taught me techniques of composition and design, and after being self employed I decided that I wanted to see a small part of the world and document what I saw. My journey began in 2003 and headed for Russia and finished 18 months later in Cambodia. Dramatic climate changes, cultural experiences and bizarre culinary delights opened my eyes to such a diverse and different world.
My work has now been seen all around the world and has been printed through many mediums including billboards in Japan to front covers of magazines in America.
I think the images adopt my learning and techniques from graphic design: I like dynamic lines, exciting composition and to convey what it is like to be in these fascinating places.
